Mark Anderson - Head Chef

Howie's Bistro Head Chef is Mark Anderson.

Mark left home at the tender age of 16 to pursue his ambition to become a top chef and was promptly snapped up by the Lommond Country Inn at Kinneswood. An AA Rosette restaurant Mark quickly rose to Sous Chef.

A finalist of Scot Hot young Chef of the year Mark moved to the Ballathie House Hotel as Chef de Partie before being poached as Head Chef to the newly opened Slipstream restaurant in Blairgowrie.

Mark has been Head Chef in Howie’s Bistro from January 2011 and advises and trains young proteges in dishes with imagination and flair, utilising fresh seasonal produce to exacting standards and enjoyment!
